Shikai Special Ability:When Okita has activated his Shikai he can basically control his shadows. He can create black whip-like entity. This is subsequently used to repeatedly attack the enemy, with the intention of landing multiple crushing blows, that are also capable of slicing the opponent apart.

Name: Shadow Restrain Cutter
Description: Okita will manipulate his shadows into black strings. Then he will launch those to restrain his opponent. Once that is done he starts to pull shadows strings that will end up cutting opponent's limbs away.

Bankai: "Erikagi"
A black shadow scarf will appear around Okita's neck. The scarf can take different shape of weapons so it doesn't really have a main form.
Bankai Special Ability: Okita is able to control every shadow expect humans, arrancar etc. It is advanced form of his Shikai. He can also create shadow stick mans from the shadows. Shadow stick mans are razor sharp.

Description; Okita can turn 5 dead things' shadows into stick mans. Stick man's body and limbs are razor sharp that can cut opponents in half.

Description: While using Bankai, Okita transmutes the scarf into a wider sickle-like blade with a long black chain attached to the hilt. The sword can be swung like a blade-whip. Using this technique, not only does Okita gain greater speed and strength, he also gains a wider attack range using the chain of the blade and the longer sickle-like shape.
